About Jim

I've been a Northern Virginia resident for over 35 years. My wife and I raised our family here in the West Springfield/Burke area, after transplanting here from Bethesda, Maryland, and originally from Kennebunk, Maine. What do I love about Northern Virginia most? Grab a chair, sit down, and make yourself comfortable...because it's going to take awhile! I guess I'd say our county parks, our schools, our restaurants & recreation opportunities, and all the green space we have along our NoVa roadways. But I'm more interested in elaborating and embellishing the features and benefits of your property, your neighborhood, and the surrounding area to potential buyers. 

I bring to my real estate transactions over 40 years of sales and marketing experience in negotiations. People say I'm an easy going guy with a slightly irreverent sense of humor, but when it comes to getting the best outcome for my clients, I'm deliberate, dedicated and resourceful.                                                                                                                                                           

When not on the phone with clients, showing properties, or negotiating the best deal and all the other "fun activities" of real estate, I might be found acting on a community theatre stage, in a commercial or film; walking with my wife along one of the area's beautiful lakes or streams; or volunteering in my church and community. You might even spot me dragging around a bag of aluminum sticks and chasing a little white dimpled ball back and forth across the greens, or maybe just trying to get the ball back on the fairway. I've been known to frequent the local seafood spots with the best Maine lobster rolls and I can't turn down a slice of blueberry pie or a soft serve ice cream cone!
